A few words from Anja

Here’s my reflective note on my time here with Pais:

“You make all things work together for my good.” (cf. Romans 8:28)
I’ve been working with Pais and St Christopher’s church for nearly a year. With the Pais Team, which consisted of 4 and later 3 members, I regularly went into schools in Coventry, built relationships with young people and teachers, talked about Jesus in assemblies and lessons and invited to church events. During this time, I’ve experienced highs and lows in this journey with God, but looking back, I can confidently say that He made all things work together for my good.
Especially during winter time, I had a lot of doubts and asked God questions about Him, faith and about how to have a relationship with Jesus. It was key to talk about that with God in prayer and to also exchange experiences and swap ideas with others. I found it extremely helpful to openly ask questions, share doubts and above all encourage and pray for each other.
In May, the work and seeds we had been sowing over the year began to bear fruits: Young people had their first encounter with God; others stepped up and took the lead in some of our clubs; some were showing more and more interest in Jesus and in faith.
It’s amazing to see how much can change within a year. I’m very thankful and I’m excited for what is yet to come.
Even though I don’t know where I will be this time next year (probably in the university in Lüneburg, Germany), I know for sure that God has a plan for everyone of us, and that He will make all things work together for our good!
