This week many of us are experiencing something new. Children and young people are experiencing a new year group or school (and it’s been lovely to see all those photos on Facebook!); teachers have new students to get to know and names to remember; some of us are adjusting to or preparing to move to a new home; yet others are experiencing new life situations. For Anna and Thanize, this is the start of a new life in a new city! We’re so delighted that they’re with us and I know they will soon feel part of the church family. With all the uncertainty that change brings with it, it is wonderful to know we worship a God whose love is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), who calls us to see the new thing that he’s doing in our midst (Isaiah 43:19). Let us step into the future with faith, and as we do so, let’s “sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvellous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him” (Psalm 98:1).

Bible Verse of the Week
Abraham called that place The Lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, ‘On the mountain of the Lord it will be provided.’
The angel of the Lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, ‘I swear by myself, declares the Lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. … and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me.’
