Weddings

Planning to get married? Congratulations!  A wedding is one of life's great moments - a time of solemn commitment and also of celebration, love, feasting and joy. We’re very pleased to celebrate with you. St Christopher's Church is a unique venue for your marriage service and your reception, and we would love to host your wedding and be part of your special day if we can.

Practicalities

Where do we start? Please get in touch by contacting the Vicar Andy March on 024 7667 2879 or revandymarch@gmail.com, and we can arrange to discuss all the details.

How much does it cost?

Much less than many folk think!

The basic cost for a wedding with all legal fees and certificates is £494.00 in 2020. We also offer the services of our organist and choir, verger and heating if required.  There is a charge for these which depend on what options you choose. There may be a small increase to these charges in future years.

Please also get in touch with us if you'd be interested in booking our church hall for your wedding reception.

Banns

Banns are legally required and are a public announcement that you are going to get married. They are read out at our main Sunday Service in church for the first three Sundays of the month, two months before your wedding.

Questions?

If one or both of you live somewhere else or one of you is divorced, please get in touch with Andy and fill in the appropriate forms and we’ll then discuss with you the next steps.

You will be invited to a marriage preparation day a few months before your wedding day and put in touch with the person who will take your wedding service. A few days before your wedding there will be a rehearsal in church.
